Well I think I am finally GETTING IT! I began this journey by using websites to fulfill my assignments, through that course I was able to teach myself that this was more of a behaviorist approach to teaching. The students were told what to do and how to do it. Although they were actively engaged, they were not creating their own learning. They were following my instructions. My last two lessons gave me a chance to think about how I can implement these types of lessons into my classroom while still giving my students the oppurtunity to share what they know and have learned. I also was able to incorporate a meaningful school to home connections with my students parents which I believe is very important. I am finally able to see how helpful these ICT lessons can be in my classroom!
