ICT Lesson

This last assignment was a very thought provoking one. I use technology a lot in my classroom for isolated instances such as AR testing and to take our reading tests, however, I rarely incorporate this into my actual lessons so I was forced to really think about how I good do this well. Through our course reading I realized how many forms of technology are actually out there. The possibilities are endless! I chose to do my lesson using an internet site called Starfall. I used this lesson as apart of my reading centers and found that it was an exceptional addition to my lesson. Not only did my students get additional, well needed practice but, they were able to see our skills isolated into sentences and then stories. It also highlighted and allowed my students to focus on the skill in isolation. My students really enjoyed this new aspect to their center time. Through my affordance analysis I was able to see just how useful this tool is in my classroom. It also made me stop and look closer for other technology resources that I can incorporate into other subjects in my classroom!
